Faiscas da Pontraga was born with the sole purpose of recovering, disseminating and ensuring the survival of traditional music in digital media (2 albums released). Since its beginnings, it has taken its music to all the corners of Galicia, as well as to the peninsula (Bierzo, Burgos, Salamanca, Valladolid, Euskadi...), Europe (France, Switzerland, Italy, England, Portugal...) and also to America (Argentina and Uruguay).
This action is part of the Dinamiz-ARTj program promoted by the Institute for Just Transition (ITJ) and the City of Energy Foundation (CIUDEN) to boost cultural activity in municipalities affected by the closure of mining and thermal and nuclear power plants and promote the careers of artists living in these territories.
