Noites de Rock e Meigas is a group formed in 2017 by several musicians and components of the folk-fusion group of the Galician center of Miranda. In total, it is composed of 13 members between bagpipers, tambourine players, percussionists and cantareiras, who join the drums, bass and electric guitar to tuck a melodic female voice in contrast with a more strummed male voice, resulting in an eclectic mix that leaves no one indifferent.
Treboada is a concert that values the fusion of traditional Galician and Celtic music and dance with styles such as pop or rock, always from the multidisciplinary and intercultural essence of the group.
The performance of Noites de Rock e Meigas is part of the Dinamiz-ARTj program promoted by the Institute for Just Transition (ITJ) and the City of Energy Foundation (CIUDEN) to boost cultural activity in municipalities affected by the closure of mining and thermal and nuclear power plants and boost the careers of young artists living in these territories.
