Open call for participation in CIUDEN Vivero's Dealbata Workshop School at La Térmica Cultural

  • The students will opt for the certificates of professionalism in gardening and plant production.
  • This training program for people between 16 and 25 years of age will begin on December 1 and will last one year.
  • The call for the selection process is already open and those interested should contact the Ecyl office in Ponferrada.

CIUDEN Vivero opens the call to participate in two new training programs funded by the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) in collaboration between the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) and the Energy City Foundation (CIUDEN) through the Secretary of State for the Environment. These two new training programs will start on December 1, 2023.

The Dealbata Workshop School will take place at La Térmica Cultural in Ponferrada and will provide participants with two certificates of professionalism, the Installation and maintenance of gardens and green areas and the Production of seeds and plants in nurseries. The duration of this workshop school is one year, with a payment during the first six months of an attendance grant of 9 euros per day and a contract of 75% of the SMI from six months to the end of the course (second semester). As for the requirements to participate in the program, those interested must be unemployed, be between 16 and 25 years old and be in possession of the ESO diploma or meet the requirements for access to the level 2 certificate of professionalism.

In parallel, the Fresno employment workshopwill be held at the CIUDEN Vivero Center in Pobladura de las Regueras (Igüeña). This training offers the opportunity to obtain the certificate of professionalism of auxiliary activities in conservation and improvement of forests, as well as the modules of auxiliary work in timber harvesting and auxiliary work in basic operations in the cork removal, both corresponding to the certificate of auxiliary activities in forest harvesting. The duration of this employment workshop is 6 months and the participants will receive the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) from the beginning of the course. As for the requirements to participate in the program, those interested must be unemployed, over 25 years old and have more than 7 years of schooling.

Those interested in participating can go from now on to the Ecyl offices in Ponferrada for the Dealbata Workshop School and in Bembibre for the Fresno Employment Workshop. The selection process will take place during the first half of October.
