Enrique Dueñas gives an interpretation workshop as part of 'La parábola del carbón' (complete)

The performing arts project La parábola del carbón, co-produced by Saltantes Teatro and La Térmica Cultural, includes several workshops ranging from acting through dance to document theater, lighting and production. These workshops are free and are aimed at anyone interested, from 16 years old.

The Asturian actor, Enrique Dueñas, will give an acting workshop entitled Introduction to acting and stage play, which will take place on May 8, 15, 22 and 29 and June 5, 12, 19 and 26.

Due to limited places, to participate in any of these workshops it will be necessary to register in advance by contacting the e-mail laparaboladelcarbon@gmail.com, indicating the title of the workshop, name and surname, age and if you have any experience in the discipline of the workshop you are registering for.

Important: Those registered commit themselves to attend all the sessions of the course.

Objectives

To familiarize participants with the basic concepts of acting and stage play.
To guide participants in the development of essential skills for theatrical interpretation.
Stimulate creativity through exercises and activities that allow the exploration of different approaches to performance.
Improve stage confidence when facing the stage and the public
Promote the importance of collaboration in theater by working as a team, developing scenes and creating connections with other actors and actresses.

Duration and participants

8 days of 2.5 hours each, with a maximum of 20 participants.

Agenda

Introduction to Theater and Acting
- Exploration of the history of theater and its different genres.
- Introduction to interpretation: connecting with characters and emotions

Body expression and vocalization
- Exercises to develop body awareness and physical expression on stage.
- Vocalization techniques and voice projection for the stage.

Stage play and improvisation
- Exploration of stage play and improvisation as performance tools.
- Improvisation exercises to foster spontaneity and creativity

Construction of characters and scenes
- Character development through psychology, motivations and objectives.
- Creation of short scenes based on given situations, incorporating characters.

Stage confidence and presentation
- Strategies to overcome stage fright and face the public with confidence.
- Preparation and presentation of scenes to the group applying what has been learned.
